All you need is a tube, some text and five minutes ...

Open in PSP and minimise.

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Open a new canvas 800 x 600 white background

new canvas

Layers >> Promote Background Layer

STEP 2

Maximise tube xmasbag.tub
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer

STEP 3

Adjust >> Blur >> Radial Blur

radial blur settings

STEP 4

In the Layer Palette reduce opacity to 70
Layers >> Properties

STEP 5

The tube should still be on the clipboard
Edit >> Paste as New Layer
Image >> Resize 80%
Resize all layers unchecked
Adjust >> Sharpness >> Sharpen

STEP 6

Effects >> 3D Effects

Repeat Drop Shadow changing Vertical and Horizontal Offsets to minus 2 (-2)

STEP 7

Maximise tube yp_text_merry_christmas> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer
With the Move Tool position in centre of tube

STEP 8

With the Dropper Tool select a colour from the tube
I selected Pale Green #A4AD93
In the Materials Palette load foreground with selected colour

STEP 9

Layers >> New Raster Layer
Selections >> Select All
Selections >> Modify >> Contract
Number of pixels = 5
Selections >> Invert

STEP 10

With the Flood Fill Tool Flood fill selection with foreground colour
Do no de-select

STEP 11

Selection >> Promote Selection to Layer
Image >> Resize 85%
Resize all layers unchecked
Selections >> Select None

STEP 12

Add your name/and or watermark
Layers >> Merge All (flatten)
Resize if desired and save as a jpg
