MY FAVOURITE METAPHOR

Download and extract to a file on your computer
Open tubes, text and masks in PSP and minimise. Place the selection in your PSP Selections folder.

INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Open a new canvas 800 x 600 transparent background
STEP 2
In the Materials Palette
load Foreground with #DDBC99 and Background with #F1E1C7
Change Foreground Style to Gradient
Select Flood Fill Tool and fill canvas with gradient
Effects >> Edge Effects >> Enhance
STEP 3
In the Materials Palette change Foreground Style to Color
load Foreground with Dark Grey #808080 and Background with Light Grey #C0C0C0
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Selection Tool >> Custom Selection
Effects >>Plugins >> MuRa's Meister - Cloud
Do not de-select
STEP 4
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Maximise tube on the Boulevard_LR-10-20-09.psp
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste into Selection
Selections >> Select None
Selection Tool >> Custom Selection
Edit >> Clear
Selections >> Select None
STEP 5
Zoom in and with the Selection Tool select the top of the building
Edit >> Clear
Selections >> Select None
STEP 6
In the Layer Palette change blend mode of Raster 3 to Luminance (Legacy)
Layer >> Properties
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down
STEP 7
Layers >> New Mask Layer >> From Image
Select Narah_mask_0307.jpg from the drop down options
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Group
STEP 8
Maximise tube lunapaisagem4223.pspimage
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer
Image >> Resize 49%
Resize all layers unchecked
Effects >> Image Effects >> Offset
STEP 9
Layers >> Duplicate
Image >> Mirror
Layers >> Merge Down
STEP 10
In the Layers Palette change blend mode to Luminance(Legacy) and reduce opacity to 40
Layers >> Properties
Effects >> Edge Effects >> Enhance

Maximise tube it's raining again_colorel.png
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer
Selection Tool >> Custom Selection
Selections >> Invert
Edit >> Clear
Selections >> Select None
STEP 12
Selections >> Load/Save Selection >> Load Selection from Disk
Selections >> Invert
Edit >> Clear
Selections >> Select None

In the Layer Palette change blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Layers >> Properties

Layers >> New Raster Layer
Selection Tool >> Custom Selection

In the Materials Palette load Foreground with Brown #996641
Select Flood Fill Tool and fill layer with Foreground colour
Selections >> Select None
Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow
Repeat Drop Shadow changing Horizontal and Vetical Offsets to minus 2 (-2)
STEP 16
Select Pen Tool
Select Mode Draw Lines and Polylines
Select Line Style Dash Dot Dot from the drop down list and set Line Width to 3.00
To draw the line, click on the co-ordinates x=0,y=85 and again on x=799,y=85
STEP 17
Layers Merge >> Merge Down
Layers >> Duplicate
Image >> Flip
STEP 18
Maximise tube yp_walking_through_puddles_text.psp
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as new Layer
Effects >> Image Effects >> Offset
Layers >> Duplicate
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Visible
STEP 19
Layers >> New Mask Layer >> From Image
Select Becky_Mask004.jpg from the drop down options
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Group
Image >> Resize 95%
Resize all layers unchecked
STEP 20
Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow
Repeat Drop Shadow changing Horizontal and Vetical Offsets to minus 2 (-2)
STEP 21
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Select Flood Fill Tool and fill layer with foreground colour Brown #996641
Effects >> Texture Effects >> Blinds
Layers >> Arrange >> Move Down
STEP 22
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Add your name and/or watermark
Layers >> Merge >> Merge All (Flatten)
STEP 23
Image >> Add Borders
Resize if desired
Save as a jpg
