WINTER MEMORIES II
This tutorial is my own design and any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

It was created in Paint Shop Pro X, but can be realised in other versions.
However, some tool descriptions and locations may vary, but the overall result
should be the same.
You will also need Animation Shop.

Download and extract to a file on your computer
Open sneeuwplaat2006%5Fmdc.gif in Animation Shop
Place selections in your PSP Files/Selections folder
Open all other supplies in PSP and minimise

STEP 1
Open sneeuwplaat2006%5Fmdc.gif in Animation Shop
Window >> Duplicate Animation
Close original
Animation >> Resize Animation
Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy
OVER TO PAINT SHOP PRO
STEP 2
Edit >> Paste as New Image
There should be 10 layers in the Layers Palette
Starting with the bottom layer rename the layers Frame 1,Frame 2 etc through to Frame 10
STEP 3
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Selections >> Select All
Maximise winter_glow.jpg
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Paste into Selection
Selections >> Select None
Image >> Mirror
Effects >> Edge Effects >> Enhance
STEP 4
Maximise yp_vic_girl_with_snowball.psp
Edit >> Copy
Minimise original
Edit >> Paste as New Layer
Image >> Mirror
Image >> Resize 65%
Resize All Layers UNCHECKED
Effects >> Image Effects >> Offset
Adjust >> Brightness and Contrast >> Brightness/Contrast
Adjust >> Sharpness >> Sharpen
Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow
STEP 5
Layers >> Merge Down
Layers >> Arrange >> Send to Bottom
STEP 6
In the Layer Palette highlight the top layer (Frame 10)
Selections >> Load/Save Selections >> Load Selection from Disk
Select YLD-winter-memories-sel from the drop down list
Selections >> Invert
Edit >> Clear
DO NOT DE-SELECT
Highlight Frame 9
Edit >> Clear
Highlight Frame 8
Edit >> Clear
Continue in this way down through the remaining seven Frame layers
Selections >> Select None
This is what you should have now
STEP 7
In the Materials Palette
load Foreground with #FFFFFF White and Background with #808080 Grey
In the Layers Palette highlight the top layer (Frame 10)
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Select Flood Fill Tool and fill layer with Foreground colour #FFFFFF White
STEP 8
Layers >> New Mask Layer >> From Image
Select sg_tattered-pictures.PspMask from the drop down options
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Group
Layers >> Duplicate
Effects >> Edge Effects >> Enhance More
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down
STEP 9
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Selection Tool >> Custom Selection
Maximise jcw_christmas_holly.psp
Edit >> Copy
Minimise original
Edit >> Paste into selection
Selections >> Select None
STEP 11
Selections >> Load/Save Selections >> Load Selection from Disk
Select YLD-winter-memories-holly-sel from the drop down list
Selections >> Promote Selection to Layer
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Paste as new Image
STEP 10
Working on the new image
Image >> Greyscale
Adjust >> Hue and Saturation >> Colorize
Edit >> Copy

Back to the original canvas
Edit >> Paste into Selection
Selections >> Select None
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down
Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down

Maximise text yp-text-memories.pspimage
Edit >> Copy
Minimise original
Edit >> Paste as New Layer
Effects >> Image Effects >> Offset
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down

Minimise original
Edit >> Paste as New Layer

Seletions >> Modify >> Contract
Number of pixels = 3
Selections >> Invert
Select Flood Fill Tool and fill selection with Foreground colour #FFFFFF White
Image Resize 99%
Resize All Layers UNCHECKED
Selections >> Select None
Layers >> Merge >> Down
STEP 15
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Selections >> Select All
Selections >> Modify >> Contract
Number of pixels = 3
Selections >> Invert
Select Flood Fill Tool and fill selection with Background colour #808080 Grey
Selections >> Select None
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down
STEP 16
Layers >> New Raster Layer
Add your name and/or watermark
Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down
TO ANIMATE PROCEED TO STEP 17
If you do not wish to animate delete the 10 frame layers
Layers >> Merge >> Merge All (Flatten)
Resize if desired and save as a jpg

In the Layers Palette, highlight the top layer (Group - Raster 2)
Hide Frames 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
Edit >> Copy Merged
Over to Animation Shop
Edit >> Paste as New Animation
Back to PSP
STEP 18
In the Layers Palette, hide Frame 1
Make Frame 2 visible
Edit >> Copy Merged
Over to Animation Shop
Edit >> Paste >> After Current Frame
Back to PSP
STEP 19
In the Layers Palette, hide Frame 2
Make Frame 3 visible
Edit >> Copy Merged
Over to Animation Shop
Edit >> Paste >> After Current Frame
Back to PSP

In the Layers Palette, hide Frame 3
Make Frame 4 visible
Edit >> Copy Merged
Over to Animation Shop

Over to Animation Shop
Edit >> Paste >> After Current Frame
Stay in Animation Shop

You should now have all 10 frames in your animation
View >> Animation
STEP 28
If you are happy with your animation activate the frames
Resize if desired
I resized mine to 700 x 525 pixels

Save as a gif
