However, some tool descriptions and locations may vary, but the overall result should be the same.

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

First we will make the plaid background

Maximise tube yp_mtw_its_a_boy.psp
Window >> Duplicate
Minimise original

In the Layer Palette delete logo layer

In the Materials Palette load
Foreground with White #FFFFFF and Background with Blue #C7DAEB
Layer >> New Raster Layer
Select Floodfill Tool and fill layer with Background colour
Layers >> Arrange >> Send to Bottom
Layers >> Merge >> Marge All (flatten)

With the Selection Tool select baby in the basket

Image >> Crop to Selection

Effects >> Plugins >> Namesuppressed >> Plaid Lite

This is what you should have now

plaid

Name and save as a jpg (I named mine plaid-its-a-boy.jpg)
Minimise for later use

STEP 2

Open a new canvas 800 x 600 white background

Layers >> Promote Background Layer

STEP 3

In the Materials Palette change Foreground Style to Pattern
Select the plaid pattern just made from the options with the following settings

Flood fill layer with pattern

STEP 4

Maximise tube yp_misted_teddy_bear_pspimage
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer

Effects >> Image Effects >> Offset

In the Layer Palette reduce opacity to 55
Layers >> Properties

Effects >> Edge Effects >> Enhance

STEP 5

Layers >> New Raster Layer
In the Materials Palette change Foreground Style back to Color
Select Flood Fill tool and fill layer with White #FFFFFF

Effects >> Plugins >> Alien Xenofex 2 >> Burnt Edges

Burnt Edges

Image >> Resize 75%
Resize All Layers unchecked

STEP 6

Maximise tube yp_poem_baby_boy.psp
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer

Effects >> Image Effects >> Offset

Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down

In the Layers Palette reduce opacity to 75
Layers >> Properties

STEP 7

Maximise tube PatryMists_06_Flowers_157.pspimage
Edit >> Copy
Minimse tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer

Adjust >> Hue and Saturation >> Colorize

In the Layers palette reduce opacity to 30
Layers >> Properties

Effects >> Edge Effects >> Enhance

This is what you should have now

Maximise tube yp_mtw_its_a_boy.psp
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer
Select the Move Tool and position tube as below

Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow

Repeat Drop Shadow changing Vertical and Horizontal Offsets to minus 2 (-2)

STEP 9

Maximise tube yp-text-its-a-boy.psp
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer

With the Move Tool position tube as below

Maximise yp_hearts_blue.psp
Edit >> Copy
Minimise tube
Edit >> Paste as New Layer

With the Move Tool position as below

Layers >> Merge >> Merge All (Flatten)

Image >> Add Borders

border

Image >> Add Borders

STEP 17

Add your name and/or watermark
Resize if desired
Save as a jpg
